Lunches

As a small school, we are very fortunate to have our own school kitchen. Our meals are cooked on the premises, and all options adhere to the National Food Standards and the required allergy information.

Norse Caterers manage our School Lunch service and Mrs Walpole is our school cook.

The menu offers a daily hot meal, with the option of a jacket potato. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for.  A salad bar, and fruit as an alternative to the dessert is available daily.

All children in Cherry and Willow classes can have a school lunch, which is centrally funded through the government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) scheme.

For children in Rowan and Oak classes, there is a charge for a school lunch. This is currently £2.30. Payment and orders in advance, and at least on Monday for the week ahead, is greatly appreciated.

Children in any class may be entitled to free school meals ( FSM) if you are in receipt of other employment benefits.  This applies to Cherry and Willow pupils as well, and we ask that you do apply if you are eligible. Please see Mrs Rudd in the office to enquire or click here for an application form.

If you do not wish your child to have a school lunch, you can send them with a packed lunch/drink. This should include healthy options, and must not contain peanuts/ peanut butter items, chocolate bars and other confectionary, or fizzy drinks.

If your child has a food allergy, you must ensure the school and kitchen are informed. The kitchen will if possible, accommodate allergies (eg wheat, eggs, milk products).
