Governance

The governing body has 3 key functions:

  • To ensure the clariy of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school
  • Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and pupils
  • Oversee the financial performance of the school and ensuring school funds are well spent.

The Full governing body meets a least 6 times a year, with Committee meetings held in addition to these, usually twice per term.

Governors oversee the school budget, the Pupil Premium and Sports Premium ; resources including staffing; premises development and management; policies; school improvement; standards including the  standards attained by pupils in the school.
