Cross Country at Taverham
On November 2nd, a group of runners from Lyng Primary Academy went to Taverham Hall for a cross country run. There were about 80 children in each race and around 600 children there. We found it very exciting and we all tried our best. The course had hills and a wooded area. The race was harder than it looked. Tara Cummings came third, so she will be going to the county finals. Well Done Tara and everybody who took part.

Science Quiz
On October the 30th, Evie, Eva, Oliver and Jake, all attended the year six, Reepham high school science quiz. It was lots of random questions that you couldn’t possibly revise for. At the start, they weren’t doing very well and were by far, in last place. Luckily, they completely turned it around and came first in the last two rounds which gave them an overall score of 71 but were beaten to second with another school who got 78.There were five schools competing.

School Council Elections
Elections have taken place and all the children have voted. Our School Council members for this year are : Alex, Simon, Heidi, Zak, Jay, Erin, Daisy O, Elliot B and Evie Y.
They had their first meeting, where Alex was voted as Chair , Simon as Secretary and Heidi as Treasurer.
